November 13, 2024
The recent Fortaleza Declaration, adopted at the 2024 Global Education Meeting (GEM) in Brazil, reaffirmed a strong commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which aims to ensure inclusive, equitable quality education and lifelong learning for all.
As part of this commitment, Dr. Mariana Alba, Head of Business and Management at Webster Geneva Campus, took part in an impactful UNITAR event designed to inspire young global leaders.
Alba was invited by the UNITAR Division for Prosperity to speak at the 2024 Future Global Youth Leadership Programme, a unique event that brought talented young students to Geneva for an immersive learning experience. Representing Webster Geneva Campus, Alba led engaging sessions on Communication Skills and Leadership over two days, contributing her expertise to help students develop key skills for their futures.
The event was organized by UNITAR with notable professionalism, thanks to the efforts of experts like Beatrice Selina Belga, who oversaw logistics, and photographer Joy Tristan Fernandez, who captured the event’s meaningful moments. Alba expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, commending UNITAR for creating a memorable experience and advancing education for the next generation of leaders.
Webster Geneva Campus celebrates Alba’s dedication to education and global engagement, and is proud to support faculty who contribute to the goals of inclusive and impactful education worldwide.
