September 25, 2025
At Webster Geneva Campus, Signature Courses are designed to connect theory with practice, giving students opportunities to engage directly with global industries, institutions and cultural contexts.
This Fall 1, we offer students nine various signature courses that will last for 8 weeks - from economics and politics to psychology and sports - to boost their knowledge in different spheres and prepare them for future careers.

What makes these courses stand out is how they merge academic knowledge with real-world experience. One great example is SPTC 1800 Sports Communication: Swiss Strategies, Culture and Media, which takes students beyond theory to explore how communication shapes the world of sports. Switzerland is the center of global sports governance, with Lausanne recognized as the Olympic Capital and home to more than 60 international sports organizations.
Across the country, Switzerland also hosts major global governing bodies such as FIFA, FIBA and UEFA. The course examines the evolution of global sports communication with the emphasis of the region and its significance in this field. Through case studies and visits to international sports governance bodies, interactive discussions and hands-on activities, participants gain insights into the power of storytelling and media in shaping the sports industry, both locally and internationally.
MNGT 4100 International Management: Global Strategies, Operations and Dynamics in Geneva prepares students to understand the complexities of managing across borders. By studying topics such as globalization, multinational structures and cross-cultural management, students develop the skills needed to thrive in an international business environment. The experiential highlight of this course is a visit to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, where they explore how trade policies shape global business strategies.
The nine Signature Courses offered in Fall 1 reflect Webster Geneva Campus’s commitment to connecting knowledge with experience. Whether in economics, psychology, sports, literature or management, each course combines academic depth with practical exposure, through visits to international organizations, interactive projects and real-world case studies. By engaging with these opportunities, students not only strengthen their academic foundations, but also prepare for meaningful careers in an increasingly interconnected world.
