Art Appreciation Rome Trip
Rome is a living museum roofed by the (mostly) sunny Italian sky. During a three day study trip at the end of November, Dr. Maryvelma O’Neil and sixteen Art Appreciation (GCP) students visited ancient monuments, the Sistine Chapel, Baroque churches, Bernini fountains and welcoming piazzas. Dr. O'Neil said, "Our voyage of discovery ended with a typical Roman dinner at a famous restaurant built within a vault of Pompey's Theater (55 BCE), adjacent to the Curia, where Caesar met his end." Thumbs up to his wise observation: “Experience is the teacher of all things.” Arrivederci Roma!
