Webster at the Forefront of AI and the Investment Industry
Big Data analysis and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are two of the most dynamic technological developments of our time. Together, their applications in the field of financial asset-management is evolving exponentially, with leading minds and development funds pouring in at ever-growing rates.
Webster faculty member Dr. Michal Paserman, a thought leader in the field of Behavioral Finance and Director of Webster's MBA, has recently published an article in Le Monde Economique that explores issues of AI as well as the growing field of Neurofinance, which considers human factors in investment decision-making. The article, called "Artificial Intelligence, Humans, and the Future of Their Relation in The Financial Industry", also discusses algorithms, the growing use of "roboadvisors" in the investment process and the transformative impact that R&D in this field is having on the financial industry.
Related to this growing trend is an upcoming public event, Algorithms vs. Humans, to be held in collaboration with Mirante Fund Mangement on the Webster University Geneva campus in Bellevue on Wednesday, May 23rd at 18:00.
