International Symposium ‘New Frontiers in Creativity, Learning and Technology Research’
On Dec. 1, 2020, the Webster Centre for Creativity and Innovation (WCCI) at Webster Geneva Campus and the Centre for the Science of Learning and Technology (SLATE) at the University of Bergen co-organized an online International Symposium on the theme of New Frontiers in Creativity, Learning and Technology Research.
It has been three years since the Webster Center for Creativity and Innovation (WCCI), Webster Geneva Campus, and the Centre for the Science of Learning and Technology (SLATE), University of Bergen, held the first international symposium on Creativity, learning and technology. This year’s event celebrated two outcomes from this initial symposium: a special issue Creativity, Learning and Technology published by Creativity Research Journal (volume 32, issue 1, 2020) and, based on it, a book from Routledge, ‘Creative Learning in Digital and Virtual Environments: Opportunities and Challenges of Technology-Enabled Learning and Creativity’ (2020).
New Frontiers in Creativity, Learning and Technology Research brought together an eminent group of international experts to discuss current developments in the field of creativity, learning and technology research, and to reflect on the use of these phenomena and resource to address the pressing challenges of today. The program included the following talks and presenters:

The organizers of the event, Vlad Glaveanu (Webster Geneva Campus), Ingunn Ness (University of Bergen) and Constance de Saint Laurent (University of Bologna) are working with the WCCI, SLATE and the International Society for the Study of Creativity and Innovation (ISSCI) to publish a special issue that will bring together contributions from this event that should be available in July 2021 in the open access journal Creativity.
